our baby girl is wearing undies now! she refused to wear diapers the other day so we are potty training.. much to mommy's sadness. she had a few accidents saturday, and none sunday much to mommy's happiness. :) i thought we'd have to skip all our little day trips due to the potty training.. but forget it- we're heading out and just bringing changes of clothes and hoping it goes well. happy spring break to us! :)
at least not for the next week! spring break starts today.. and as much as i'd like to sit around the house, sleep in, do a whole lotta nothin'-- i think we might take a few day trips and venture out and about our lovely so cal. being out of the house helps curb their video games and my internet.

on monday, chris and i headed up to san fran for another napa wedding! i love it because it's not too far from home, but far enough where we get to stay away for a night!
and on tues we had the day to pretty much veg before we headed home.. we thought we would meet up with my cousin for lunch but she ended up having to take the day off from work with her oldest girl. we were so happy! :)
it's always so nice to have some quiet time with chris. with the hustle and bustle of our good but chaotic home, it's so important to have time to reconnect. i propose that we get away monthly :)
and now.. back to home life- today, we've got a dance recital and baseball game and i've got major layouts to make. :) happy wednesday!
these are from the other day, my little shopping partner got into the easter candy early:
we've had about 4 games and we're undefeated so far! and someone who used to let me take their picture, isn't too keen on it anymore.
this one digs under car seats, under beds.. anywhere to find fallen change for the snack stand. :)
and this one looooves licorice from the snack stand.. but was introduced to RING POPs yesterday, and thinks she's SOOOOO cool. oh gosh. sugar overload. (and how do you like that cute cupcake top?! macy's for 3 bucks! hello bargain!)
it was my day to work in the snack stand and i couldn't stand it! i looove watching cam play and people kept disrupting me with orders. LOL :)
yesterday morning, as dad was in the kitchen, rehearsing lines for the church play for tomorrow evening, elsie leaped from the couch, leaving blue's clues in the dust... grabbed her crown and enthusiastically followed along to daddy's dramatic performance. :) she was nodding her head in approval-- totally cracking me up. :)

even though it was only a few months ago, it seems so long ago! i need to print out some more pics from the trip so i can get all mushy about it. :)

today was the last day of basketball for the boys, so we are officially in baseball season. i need to take my camera next week. i'll have plenty of opportunity, cam will be at the field 4 times a week! :)

forever ago since my boys were healthy! (this was taken july of 07) right now, chris and the 2 boys all have ear infections. they are all on meds. just as one recovers, the other gets sick..nasty bug here.. at least all of the girls are nice and healthy :)
speaking of my boys- i was looking through my cabinets and fridge that were just replenished a few days ago.. i can't believe how much everyone's growing. specifically, i can't imagine how much food will fly off our shelves when these boys get to their teenage years... they're already eating like crazy! i can't keep up!
it ended up raining so we didn't do anything outdoorsy for the birthday. i knew the girls were going to bake cupcakes but i didn't know that i would look into the kitchen and have my heart melt. look at them in their aprons! cutest thing ever!!! looove how els listened to kira.. love how kira was so patient.. love that it took forever because of a. the toddler, b. kira is a perfectionist. :)
i couldn't just let them sit there with their sprinkles! they were so naked. needing some embellishments :)
she ate way too many cupcakes. i mean, way too much frosting. she ditched the cake part once the frosting was off.
while baking, elsie got a haircut.

and again, i can't compete with mickey mouse clubhouse that was on right behind me. our day will be filled with horseback riding (or so she thinks she wants to do this), a trip to the park and lotsa lotsa cupcakes.
